THE GOAL OF HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Providing emergency medical services for the workers such as providing a first aid kit to treat injuries quickly.
  • Protecting humans from injuries caused by the environmental hazards in the workplace by preventing their exposure to accidents, injuries and occupational diseases.
  • Preserving the physical element which is represented in the constructions and the equipment they contain from damage and loss as a result of accidents.
  • Providing and implementing an occupational health and safety requirements that ensure the provision of a safe environment for preventing risks to the human and material elements.
  • Ensuring the food health conditions in places of preservation and preparation of food and provide adequate quantity of drinking water as well as appropriate number of toilets, cooling and heating services within the work place.
  • Educate the workers in health, occupational safety concepts and issue publications to raise awareness of employees. That applying these concepts will develop the project plan.
  • Assessing the work enviroment to identify the risks that exist or possible exist and avoid them to protect employees within the workplace.
  • Implementation of the compliance principles, international and domestic codes of conduct in this area.

POLICY OF MERCURY COMPANY

As our company is committed to its duties regarding compliance with health and safety according to international safety regulations, Mercury company is taking the following steps in order to improve health and safety performance all the time.

  • Provide employees with the necessary information, training and supervision to secure their safety and health at work besides others who might be affected by their actions and to protect the environment, Ensure that all machinery and equipment are maintained in a safe condition.
  • Provide adequate arrangements and management for social care facilities at work.
  • Keep the workplace safe and ensure that access and exit are safe and without risk.
  • Monitor performance of safety protection & health requirements to maintain company standards.

Since safety and maintaining safety and environment requirements are everybody’s responsibility, all employees of the company are doing the following:

  • Reasonable care about their health, safety and other’s safety who might be affected by their actions or their carelessness at work.
  • Cooperating with other employees in the company to enable ti to meet its legal, requirements regarding safety and health protection.
  • No interfering, mususing, or intended harm to anything related to protecting health and safety.
  • Taking proper care of personal safety equipment and setups and maintaining them.
  • Adherence to instructions and methods that come from the company, to make sure that this policy stays active, the company’s managers will do the following: Annual reviews, or when significant changes happen within the company.
  • Maintain procedures of communication and consultation among all employees levels regarding matters of health, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Providing enough resources to maintain functions of health and safety protection properly for the company.
  • Reviewing work methods and assessing risks as required.
  • Provide and maintain safe work systems without compromising health and environment, Setting arrangements to use , handle, store and transport materials, and materials that are provided to be used at work, which are safe and have no risks against health and environment.
  • Assuring that all decisions taken by the administration reflect good intentions to apply.
The company’s safety policy and site safety instructions will be prominently display for compliance by the site staff, by putting them in a suitable location and they will be updated whenever deemed necessary.
